If you run an indoor golf simulator studio, you’ve probably wanted to give customers the ability to record their swings for deliberate practice, but faced the challenge of giving customers access to a shared iPad or iPhone for video recording. Logging in can be a pain, especially on shared devices. Onform’s new QR code powered kiosk mode is designed to make this process simple and fast.
What Is Kiosk Mode?
Kiosk Mode allows a customer to quickly log into a shared iPad or iPhone using a QR code. They just scan the code with their personal Onform app, and in seconds, they’re connected and ready to go.
This setup is perfect for multicam recording, where two devices are used to record from behind (down the line) and one from the front (face on). With Kiosk Mode, a customer can walk in, scan the code, and access Onform’s multicam recording from both devices almost instantly.

Now Launching with X-Golf
We’re excited to roll out Kiosk Mode in partnership with X-Golf, one of the largest indoor golf simulator brands in the country. With over 125 locations across the United States, X-Golf offers high-end golf simulator experiences and professional instruction. Now, with Kiosk Mode, they’re giving customers and coaches an even better way to record, review, and improve their game.
“We’re always looking for ways to give our customers a better experience. Onform’s Kiosk Mode makes it easy to access video tools without slowing anything down. It’s simple, fast, and adds a lot of value for both our customers and our teaching staff.”
Harry Tanner, Director of Golf, X-Golf America
Why It Helps Indoor Golf Simulator Businesses
Kiosk Mode isn’t just about easier access. It adds real value to your facility in a few key ways:
Quick, Hassle-Free Setup
Customers no longer need help logging in or typing passwords. The QR code takes care of everything. This saves your staff time and creates a smoother experience for your customers.
Better Use of Multicam Recording
High-quality instruction often relies on capturing both front and side views. Kiosk Mode makes it easy to connect two devices for multicam recording without any tech headaches.
Supports Coaches and Instructors
Instructors can focus more on teaching and less on managing devices. Having a fast and reliable way for clients to access recording tools means lessons stay on track and feel more professional.
Great for Self-Practice Sessions
If your facility offers practice bays, you can provide an iPad for customers to use anytime. They just scan the QR code, record their swings, and review their progress — all without needing a staff member to assist.
How It Works
- Open Onform on a shared iPad or iPhone and enable Kiosk Mode
- The device shows a unique QR code
- The customer opens the Onform app on their phone and scans the code
- The shared device is now connected and ready for multicam recording
A Simple Way to Add Value
Kiosk Mode removes a small but frustrating barrier for both customers and coaches. It makes swing recording easier, more accessible, and more useful for everyone in your facility.
