This month’s webinar introduces several exciting features designed to make coaching easier and more effective. The highlight? Our new 3D video analysis tools for coaches, which lets you draw and give feedback from multiple angles using a regular 2D video. We also shared updates to skeleton tracking, login workflows, and athlete invites. All of these are tools that help coaches across all sports save time and deliver better instruction.
What We Covered:
- 3D Drawing — You can now draw directly on 3D visualizations in adition to our other 3D video analysis tools for coaches. Whether it’s a circle around the hands or an arrow at the knee, your drawings stay locked in place as you rotate the view. This lets you give clearer feedback from multiple angles using just a 2D video.
- Future Plans for 3D — We share what’s coming next with our 3D tools, from 3D data, to 3D support for additional sports. Right now, 3D is available for full golf swings recorded using auto-detect mode. We’re working to bring 3D to more recording modes and more sports. Baseball and softball are next. Every sport we support is trained and tested for accuracy using our in-house motion capture lab.
- Line Deletion — Made a mistake while drawing on the video? Easily remove individual lines or angles for faster, cleaner visual feedback.
- Joint Tracking — We’ve updated our 2D skeleton tool. You can now track individual joints to see how they move through space. The new interface makes it easier to choose which side of the body you’re looking at, turn angles on and off, and track joints across all sports.
- Updated Login Experience — We’ve completely revamped our login experience. You can now use a new QR code to easily login to secondary devices, perfect for simulators or shared environments.
- Reusable Invite Codes — You’ll now see 5-digit invite codes when adding athletes. These are easier to share and more secure. For teams or groups, you can create a single code that automatically adds athletes to a collection, saving time during camps and clinics, and you can reuse the same code over and over again.
- Pocket Radar — We’re nearly ready to launch support for Pocket Radar. Set up your phone, turn on Pocket Radar mode in Onform, and the app records each pitch without you pressing a button. Speeds are added to the video and saved for review. Multi-cam recording works too.
Keep an eye out for more updates in July. We’re working on even more ways to simplify your workflow and improve your coaching.
